(I got a story to tell ya'll, let me know if this sounds familiar:)
They label her as a hater ‘cause, she’s no addict enabler
Who plays the rug, in the name of love
So she’s hated because she ain’t a punk
She has a past so they play it up, but it doesn’t sway her much
They’re just mad ‘cause they use to date her but, since breakin’ up
They fake the tough role callin’ her names and stuff
They accuse her before a blameless Judge
But He don’t take no junk, and that’s the type of crap that Satan does
(You catching' on yet? Well let's meet another character:)
He is similar in a way because
Before they would hate His guts, they made Him famous because he gave ‘em stuff
But things have changed because, they couldn’t make Him what
They wanted him to be, so they plot and scheme to hang Him up
They would even pay off a traitor plus
If that wasn’t crazy enough, He would go along with this break of trust
They would say He ain’t who He claimed He was
Then they would slay Him but, He’s got a surprise for them in the days to come
(Alright, so here's where the two stories become one:)
The two of them met in a way that’s bugged
He had known of her from afar and came to her to proclaim His love
But she was the type to be datin’ thugs
No restraint in public, she did what she wanted and got away with much
Always borrowin’ she was laced with funds
But she ain’t make enough at her job to pay it off, enslavin’ her
Debt collectors had set their aim at her
Tellin’ her that death is the next step if she isn’t payin’ up
Then around when the time frame was up
Knowin’ full well what her situation was, He would pay in blood
Now she’s still in debt but she traded up
Make no mistakes she’s enslaved to a Savior who liberated her
And in light of all that He saved her from
And his crazy display of love, she can’t imagine a greater husband
After fifty days He’s engaged to her
This is their current state as she changes and waits for Him to come take her up
(Dope love story, right? Well sometimes, love looks like hate)
In the day He comes and her change is done
He gon’ slay ‘em bruh, & ain’t gon’ be no complain ‘cause His anger’s just
Yo, He told them to stay away from her
But he’s a humble beast so they front and sleep but He’s gonna wake ‘em up
See the aftermath when the grapes are crushed
And all of them suckas who begged to escape are gonna be made to hush
And birds of the air will be made a lunch
It lays in the dust, scattered abroad, I call it fillet-o-punks
(This ain't a fairy tale, but here's your happily ever after:)
Yo the sight of her is amazin’ ‘cause
Her sanctification’s complete and it’s great to see what He’s made of her
There’s a mixture of everything in her
Every nation, tongue and tribe has provided some DNA for her
White linen, there ain’t a stain in ‘em
She’s been waitin’ to reign wit’ Him, now they’re ready to consummate as one
All of heaven is celebratin’ ‘em
Beauty and the Beast at the feast, you can say they be slayin’ ‘em
