Beach

I lay down right next to her
My left side in the sand
The moon and stars were in her eyes
Toward them rose her hand

She pointed to the brightest one
And lay back down again
And I laid there still
And in my head I heard her

"Can you see me up here?
Can you see my face here?
Look into the blackened skies
I'm everywhere in your insides"

"Especially when you close your eyes
