FZ: Well, you certainly picked a marvelous time to turn the cameras on, ladies and gentlemen. This is George Duke tuning up right over here, and as soon as George is done tuning up, I think that Tom is gonna wanna tune up for about fifteen or twenty minutes

FZ: This is Tom Fowler on bass, ladies and gentlemen, and over, behind him, partially obscured by, uh, massive drums and stuff. This is Chester Thompson. And, uh, direct from San Jose, California, by wave of the new Red Noodle Club in Hawai'i, Napoleon Murphy Brock on tenor sax and lead vocals

FZ: And the inimitable Jeffrey Lael Simmons in brown helmet and buzzing guitar and partial vocals, backed up by the nimble Ruth Underwood with her little sticks and her little–
George: Hehehehe
FZ: Tender, succulent Ruth. Now, this is gonna be Ruth's big number, ladies and gentlemen. This is the one where you really have to watch Ruth, because she has a solo in the front part of this tune that, well, it's real hard to play and everything. That's why George doesn't play it with her. And so, uh...
