“Baby It’s You” is a single released by London Grammar three years after their last musical production Truth is a Beautiful Thing.
The trio teased the new single on Instagram and officially announced it the day after.
The song seems to be a declaration of love, embodying the unicity of the person...
[Intro]
Love
[Verse 1]
All these lights are changing, see them everywhere
In my veins like lightning, I don't even care
And the crowd is heavy, I don't wanna move
All these colours in me, but all I see is you
And nothing else matters
[Chorus]
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
[Verse 2]
All these painted faces singing back to me
There's an ocean here, but you are all I see
And nothing else matters
[Chorus]
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
You, baby, it's you
Baby, it's you, baby, it's you
[Outro]

“Baby It’s You” is about falling in love. Those feelings that you know are there but can’t put into words. It’s also about playing festivals at night time in front of crowds, where I often have felt lots of emotions!
This was one the boys wrote together. I turned up at the studio and they’d made this amazing piece of music. Listening to it, I was just like, ‘Ah, I’m just at a festival.’ It gave me such a feeling of being in love, newly in love, and stuff like that. The lyrics came out quite naturally.
