Sometimes I wish I were as smart as you

But when you say "a clue", I don't always go right to the spot

You see, it’s hard for me

Sometimes I wish I were as bright as you

You always know just what to do

You always find the clue

Before I do

That can be hard for me

I don't always hear what I'm supposed to hear

You say "clue", I hear "shoe" or "achoo"

Or "who" or "moo"

There might be a cow, heh

Anyhow, it can be hard for me

Sometimes I wish I were as bright as you
