As I Look Around

[WASHINGTON]
As I look around
I hear the sounds
Of men and mice
The dead smell not nice

For my squadron were great men
And I failed them
I failed them all

As I look around
I can see the men
Who died in agony

As I look around
The men who were so brave yesterday
Are dead on the ground today

Why do I keep seeing them
In my dreams at night in bed
I see this failure
As a way to warn them

The future men
Who may dance with death

But what if it all changes?
What if it all goes to Hell?
What if I die with them?
And I live a peaceful life
In the ground

I am George Washington
The man who led fifty men
To their deaths

Why am I cursed to be
Such a failure?
What has caused me to fail
This hard?

As I look around
I see the families tearing apart
