We carry the globe on shoulders that refuse to buckle

Let's focus on the negative and then antagonize
Let's not talk about our feelings, let us sever ties

Let's paint our enemies and magnify our index fingers
To foam size and generalize times infinity
Let us pretend to be, holier than thou
While equating femininity with unmatched divinity

Let us bash religion in the next sentence
And say that God and Goddess are meant figuratively
Let us title ourselves as kings and queens
As Indians become chiefs of solitary tribes individually

The prerogative of interpretation resides
Firmly in the hands of a warmongering nation
So let us subscribe to their definition
Of terrorists and forget the fact that they're still doing business with them

Let us all eat vegan and still be prey to corporations
Who appeal to our lowest traits and behaviours
Let us remember hatred mantras verbatim
And project that onto a fictional entity called Satan

Let us pretend we can't withstand temptation
Like we don't have that power over ourselves, it's just in human nature
To have vices, devices we use to excuse
Transgressions, like they gave us a license...

Let us post hashtags of a current cause
That's interchangeable because we ain't really concerned at all
Rationalize that with "there are crises everywhere"
And most are fabricated to serve the Western hemisphere

Some dine under chandeliers bought from funds
Extorted from people now starving under the scorching sun
Let's get this paper like it liberates us
From the same shackles we place ourselves in willingly when we labor

Let's fuck a stranger but not talk to our neighbors
Let's face it, a stripper hates to be emotionally naked
Let's act tolerant towards the LGBT community
But deride that last letter with impunity

Let's ask for mercy while punishing others brutally
Let's call for backup while saying it's only you and me
Let's justify cheating with outdated gender roles
Let's use a randomizer on who is a friend or foe

The wars our family members die in, are not about resources
But about offending other people's prophets
Let's be proud of what's beyond our control
Like skin tone and nationality, instead of our souls

Or let's finally understand, that differences are bridged
By acceptance and extending your hand
Each one teach one respect and consideration
And compassion, regardless of rank and station

We're impatient, emotionally unstable, abrasive
And defensive when we're challenged in the ways that we think
How do we sell humanity on a paradigm shift?
Education is abused to instill lies in kids

Let us honor the sapiens part in our binomial
Let us go hand-in-hand instead of toe-to-toe
