Society has told me I have a disease
And that I'm committing a crime for being black in the streets
And that if I reach for my id at a traffic stop there's a chance a shot can go off, my girl in the passenger seat
Daughter in the back seat
She's only 4
Only 4
Only 4 shots to the arm got me gasping to breath
And as I sit, dying, praying to God that I don't actually leave this Earth
There's still a weapon pointed at my as I rapidly bleed
Society has told that this happens on a daily basis
But it's not a black and white thing and ain't nobody racist
But if we stand screaming "Black Lives Matter" all we get is a no "All Lives Matter" middle finger right back at our faces
Of course all lives matter, that's a given
But right now it seems black lives are treated different
More names just keep adding to the list of killings, they tryna desensitize in a society that we live in
I want peace for all, I want peace for the children, I want peace for my sisters and brothers of each religion
Doesn't matter if you're pigment, your color, you're Christian, you're Muslim forget all the judging, it's disgusting to see all these kilings
Society has told me that I am viewed as a threat
And that I'm young and black and following orders can result in death if I don't do 'em correct
How much progress have we made from the news to the net?
If you're watching this I pray for you cause you could be next
