Alone

I walk the streets restless, unknown,
Then back to this one room, alone.
I turn and fret in aimless quest
And fruitless yearnings unexpressed.
I curse the silence of the years;
And life-long worries grow to fears
And fierce regrets none understands --
Feeling my life slip through my hands.
