My name is gold.
Taken from the fore-fathers, it’s a great legend I uphold.
But in between the lines aren’t riches to behold,
Rather it is sickness you’ll find in the stories to be told.
My name is old.
Worn out, and tired, but still very bold.
The result and the price of the dice that have been rolled.
The second word means the future has already been foretold.
My name is elusive.
It’s cryptic and the context surrounding it is just as allusive.
Born out of a darkness and world that was abusive.
Careful, in all ways, but especially it’s usage.
My name is cold.
It howls like the wind and is likewise uncontrolled.
Speaks of death and Death’s hold.
And when it is felt it is felt tenfold.
My name is my name.
It is for the people to decide: Honor or Shame?
Will you see a life shrouded in pain?
Or a just subject Hell-bent on gain?
In the end only I will be to blame.
