Ain’t No Surrender

Every day it's harder tryin' to make more money
Then it gets to tax time
And it ain't so funny
Dollars in my pocket and right out my back door
All them government men are just tryin'

People tell me,"Hey,why don't you cut our whining"

But when you got that misery
Weighing heavy on you
It's hard to take a look at it
And see your way through

When you're taken sick
You're gonna need your doctor
But when you're feeling lowdown
Need a friend to talk
The train that you ride
Don't always go your way

But they say that every dog is gonna have it's day

I've had my ups and downs like everybody else
Sometimes been abandoned
Left back on the shelf
If the horse can throw you
Get back up there in the saddle
If you fall into the water
Get back in that boat and paddle
