* An interview filmed earlier in the day aired. Jim Ross talked to the Young Bucks and the AEW Tag Champions Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page.
* The great Gary Michael Cappetta joined the broadcast as the master of ceremonies for the weigh-in!
Out to the ring first, from Cincinnati, Ohio, was the challenger, Jon Moxley!
Accompanied by the Inner Circle, the AEW World Champion Chris Jericho was introduced next. The crowd sang along to Fozzy’s “Judas.” Jericho and the Inner Circle were wearing matching “Painmaker Posse” track outfits.
Jon Moxley untied his bootlaces and stepped on the scale first.
“234 lbs. is the official weight of Jon Moxley,” said Gary Michael Cappetta.
Chris Jericho stepped onto the scale next, but he appeared to be stalling, first removing his sunglasses, and then he slowly removed his bandana. Jericho belittled the Kansas City crowd. Jericho walked up and said something in Moxley’s face. Moxley head-butted Le Champion, busting Jericho wide open. The Inner Circle swarmed onto Mox like a pack of wild dogs. It was pure bedlam!
“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes ran down to Moxley’s aid, and he took “Big Hurt” Jake Hager over the top rope with a clothesline! Bodies were flying everywhere! Rhodes and Hager were brawling in the concourse of the arena. Hager slammed Rhodes’ head into the Dipping Dots ice cream cart!
“Dear Lord, not the Dipping Dots!” yelled Jim Ross.
Darby Allin sprinted to the ring with his skateboard in hand, but Sammy rocked him with a knee to the side of the face! Sammy broke the skateboard in half over Darby!
Mox got back to his feet but a bloody Jericho decimated Mox with the Judas Effect elbow, and then used the Paradigm Shift on a stunned Mox, smacking him headfirst into the metal scale!
“It’s going to be a bloodbath this Saturday night at the AEW REVOLUTION pay-per-view!” said Jim Ross.
