[Jonah] Let's play that song too, "I remember the time with you on the station"... new song,,, the one I want you guys to play
[man] No... can you play some?
[Jonah] Yeah, it's cool
[man] That's tuned to be [?]
[Jonah] OK, that's fine, I can work with that
[man] Right on up
[girl] [inaudible]
[Jonah] Definitely not, Hannah
I remember the time with you on the station
We were dancing on tile
It was cold, I was barefoot
It was her TV show, it was our celebration
It's criminal to let these things go by
There was light coming in, like windows on aeroplanes
It was church afternoon, we were ready for something
We are mourning for good, we are laughing at evening
Slowing down
It's criminal to let these things go by
My friends will all be famous
This world cannot contain us
We'll be first time going out
And going out again
What a relief
We're all okay
What a relief
We're all okay
There was light coming in, like windows on aeroplanes
We are mourning for good, we are laughing at evening
My friends will all be famous
This world cannot contain us
Oh, we'll be first time going out
And going out again
It's criminal to let these things go by...
[girl] It doesn’t like you! I think it wants to go back to its family
[woman] That was great, I really like that
[man] Yeah, I know
[Jonah] I wrote it, I wrote the beginning of it, the first verses, literally in the five minutes after… I was over at August and Alyssa’s, with Cedric, and it was right when “Prophecy” was added to KROQ. And we were all like “Man, they’re gonna play it!” and everyone was calling.. And all of a sudden…
[man] Yeah, I remember talking on the phone…
[Jonah] Yeah, yeah, yeah… And all of a sudden it actually came on, and we’re all like “Oh my g-d!” and we cranked it up. Very literal first lines. And it was the same night we were having Alysa’s party at that dinner place. So, the first verse is just literally about that night
