I try and make music, and a lot of times it’s not the best

I try and look at life with God’s lens
But all i see is suffering, obviously, God doesn’t do supply/demands

But if God doesn’t do supply/demands
Explain my mom wanting a husband and then life supplyin the mans
See, cause, life supplied all dads, and all moms too
And they supplied the lives we had, and thats all thanks to who?

See those the things that bring God back into my vision sight, he in it for a little
But in a week, my faith has lost the light
The burnin bush inside my heart no longer ignites
Until I hit up church and then, once, again i’m burnin bright

I know that really, for me, it’s a vicious cycle
I feel like I don’t get Jack, son, and I ain’t talkin Michael
I’m talkin I give lots to him, but I don’t read my Bible
How can words fresh off a page, bring me closer to him, no eiffel?
But like Jon Bellion, maybe it’s just that I don’t know
I could make a million just spittin words and keepin flow
But in rebellion, subconsciously, I get real low
Cause I know that what I’m doin ain’t right, best reap the stuff i sow

And if that stuff ain’t right, how do i know?
I seek pleasure from it, so would my body tell me no?
Oh! So it must be somethin different, some kind of “Ay! Yo!”
Tell me it ain’t God, and if it’s not, then what it is, bro?
