A Thing Or Two

I fell off of the backyard swing set
Skinned my knees, now I’m bleeding and upset
Just waiting for someone to see
I was hoping that they’d feel bad for me

I picked myself up, wiped away the cold dirt
How could no one care about my personal hurt?
See these tears on my face?
I think my knees were displaced

What If I trip, will I break my legs?

Why can’t I participate?
