Once upon a timeless night
Once behind my dreams
You scratched my makeup off so I could scream

The playhouse will pack tonight
Metropolitan appeal
And all the actors fake
Forgetting props are real

Policemen man their spotlight cars

The set is falling through the night
Twenty inches deep
