How Did The Song Come Together?
2AM started as a Demo written by my homie Leven Kali..who is another artist. He approached me one day about the record and said him and Digi (producer) had been sitting on that song for a while and thought I would be perfect for it. I listened to the song one time and new it was for me.
What Was The Inspiration Behind This Track?
The best way I can describe this song is with the Portuguese word “Saudades” – It has no translation to other languages but it literally means an intense, deep longing for something or someone to the point of suffering. What Was The Process of Making The Song Like?
Later that month we rented a house and had like a 2 week camp just finishing songs. We unboxed 2AM and changed some lyrics added some adlibs and wrote a bridge.
