“1992” is the fifth track on Blur’s album 13. It had originally been recorded as a demo called “Seven Days” in 1992 and was lost until Damon Albarn found it again on a tape six years later. This is why its shoegaze-y sound is more reminiscent of the band’s early material than the other music on 13.
[Verse 1]
Going into business
An agreement of your bombast
You'd love my bed
You took the other instead
But don't you feel low?
I was being oblique
And you'd love my bed
You got the other instead
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 2]
What do you owe me?
The price of your peace of mind
You'd love my bed
You took it all instead
1992 was written by Dave Rowntree & Alex James & Graham Coxon & Damon Albarn.
