Writing this last days until I'm seventeen
Preparing myself mentally for shit I never seen
I spent the last six months in the quarantine
Now past goals are nothing more than a clever dream
Now everyday seem like my circle slighten
As a result I only see my future brighten
But as for me expectations only heighten
I feel pressure getting greater, never lighten
Days getting shorter but my nights long
My vision never dulling, no my sight strong
I spent the last week, tryna right wrongs
Express thought on a track so I write songs
Writing this, grandmother on my right side
Used to always tell me focus on the bright side
Used to wonder what that mean, sitting wide eyed
Now many ride my wave like the high tide
Last year, homies flipping like a light switch
Now every lie told evoke slight twitch
In my lane moving steady cause they might hitch
Every track I drop hit like a light pitch
Writing this last days while I'm seventeen
Been returning to my roots like an evergreen
What's real can't tell like I never dream
Still tryna get ahead like a guillotine
Everyday seem like my circle slighten
As a result I only see my future brighten
But as for me expectations only heighten
I feel pressure getting greater, doubt it ever lighten
3 stripes with the fit cause I earn mine
Even if I my mind spinning like a turbine
With the medium many want beef like a sirloin
Oh well I'm still cheffing up like I'm Irvine
On a dime, many switch for the currency
Truth is it gets shocking, even currently
Life a movie, I'm a best on the current scene
Cause others move shady like the curtains be
Few names, most call me by an alias
Not important, in my bag on the daily it's
Necessary we keep moving cause they trailing quick
While Snakes try and slither on some scaly shit
Made my move quick, they be hesitant
Other come and go, here I'm resident
They forget what it means to be relevant
Only focused on the numbers and it's evident
