About Yung6ix

Onome Onokohwomo (born July 8th, 1989) better known as Yung6ix is a Nigerian hip-hop artist.

His song,“I’m an African” attracted the attention of A&R Gbemi Ereku who signed him to his 411 Entertainment company in 2009. In 2010, he began to attract attention after his cover of “Oleku” went viral. In September of 2011, Yung6ix released the fourth track from his Green Light Green Project, “Oh My Gosh” which won him “Lyricist on the Roll” and “Best rap single” nominations at the Headies Awards the next year.

He has been nominated “Most Promising Act” at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2012, nominated for “Best Rap Single” and “Lyricist on the Roll” at The Headies 2012 for his song “Oh My Gosh” in 2012 Nominated for “Best Hip Hop Video” at the Nigeria Music Video Awards in 2013, and won “National Act of the Year” at the Abuja Music and Meritorious Awards in 2013.
