Yoshi Yahu (Josiah Cabrera) is a Venezuelan-Texan Christian MC originally from San Antonio but currently residing in Dallas Fort Worth area.
The most memorable performance of his career is his original composition for Kaufman Highschool’s anthem, “SHARPEN THAT AXE”, at the pep rally where he prayed right after his performance, proclaiming the name of Jesus in a public school. He is very rooted in his Messianic faith and shows no sign of stopping.
Recently he dropped his debut project i’m not a rapper, which showcases exactly the type of artistry he’s capable of at such a young age.
Having changed his name from SiahThyLegend to Yoshi Yahu which stands for his first name Josiah and God in Hebrew, Yoshi decided to rebrand, deleting old music he had previously released under the moniker SiahThyLegend, only leaving a select few up.
He also decided to change the name under which his debut project i’m not a rapper was released, marking it his first official project as Yoshi Yahu, gearing up for the release of his new single “good kid, maverick city” which is set to drop on February 21st.
With this single, Yoshi is preparing to release more singles this year, eventually leading up to an album which he hopes to drop in 2026, with this and much more in store, Yoshi Yahu is proving he’s an artist you don’t want to sleep on.
