Xania Monet is a female R&B artist made on popular AI music app Suno in 2025 by a 31-year-old woman, Mississippi native, poet, and design studio owner named Talisha Jones. In August 2025 she released the single “How Was I Supposed To Know?” which garnered attention as well as managed to chart on various R&B Billboard airplay charts and earned the artist a $3 million record deal in September 2025, emerging as her breakthrough hit. The song charting opened conversations online about AI music with popular artists such as Kehlani criticising the record deal.
