Whistler Allen is a Minnesotan musician, known for his role as drummer in band Hippo Campus. He is sometimes known as “Beans.” Whistler met his bandmates while attending high school in St. Paul. During this time, Whistler found himself producing the band’s early work in his basement.

Whistler is from a very talented family, with one example being his maternal cousin Jonah Marais, from boyband Why Don’t We.

In late 2021 he announced that he would be releasing a solo project, after sharing singles on Soundcloud and Bandcamp in the years prior. This makes Whistler the third member of Hippo Campus to release a solo project.
