About Todd Snider

Todd Snider (11 October 1966 -) is an American singer-songwriter of alternative rock, country, and folk music. Born in Portland, Oregon, he and his family moved to to Houston when he was 15. (He ran away from home with a friend and went back to Portland.)

He was inspired to become a musician by Jerry Jeff Walker, and based on his story telling talent, he’s also studied more than a little John Prine.

Snider has released at least fifteen albums and tours regularly. A favorite of the stoner community, he continues to connect with young adults, and especially the tree-huggers in Oregon.

– Always a character on-stage, Snider often laces his songs with rambling introductory stories.
