Shaquille Griffin, professionally known as Shaq G, is a New Jersey raised artist that has pockets in hip-hop, rock, and more. With influences ranging from Snoop Dogg to Metallica to Kid Cudi, you can hear it all throughout his discography.
While 2019 saw the first all platform release of his career, Shaq G has been releasing songs on his SoundCloud and performing them several years prior. His first mixtape Overweight Rager featured New Jersey’s Ant Beale and Philadelphia natives Miles Chancellor and BNYX®. The production was mostly handled by BNYX®, but Slow Wave Audio, Kill, Matty Moonshine, and Ant Beale each produced a track each as well. The tape was released along with Ant Beale’s collective HZRD Club.
After the release of Overweight Rager, Shaq parted ways with HZRD Club and began releasing through his own imprint, OVR.
