Inspired by the video games and action movie culture of the 80’s and 90’s, Rushden & Diamonds conceptual blend of hip-hop is here to take over the world, and they won’t be taking any prisoners!
Starting off their careers as young protégés to the legendary hip-hop producer Kutmasta Kurt (prod. for Beastie Boys, Linkin Park, Kool Keith), Rushden & Diamonds first got their start writing rhymes and making beats with the flavours of 80’s R&B and royal orchestral music. The duos early productions would eventually make their way onto R&D’s debut release “2010”, a critically acclaimed double album “hip-hopera” which featured the likes of MC Paul Barman, Moka Only, Kutmasta Kurt and more.
Since the release of their debut album, Rushden & Diamonds have toured in over 25 countries, rocked festivals for hundred’s of thousands of people and have shared stages with the likes of Dr. Octagon, Dilated Peoples, Slum Village, Black Sheep, Retrogott plus many others.
Aside from some notable features over the years with artists such as Dylan Ross (Rozz Dyliams) and Kool Keith, in 2012 Rushden & Diamonds created 2 original songs for Sega’s cult console title Anarchy Reigns. The songs which were produced by Naoto Tanaka (prod. of the Mega Man X series) quickly became the soundtracks break out singles
