Aidan (Gerard) Hobbs (born on July 18, 1999), originally from Palm Beach Garden (FL), and currently based in Brooklyn (NY), is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer and producer.

Aidan has been performing smaller giggs under his solo project name prince55 since 2022, but he has always only uploaded some drafts on Soundcloud. In January 2025, he then dropped hints of a potential release with the caption “prince55 2025 :^)”.

On October 10, 2025, Aidan teased an original song of him on TikTok. A little later he confirmed the release of his debut single “butchers block” under his artist name prince55 for October 24, 2025.

His sound blends acoustic and electronic elements, aiming to capture the full depth of emotions tied to memories and experiences.

Hobbs mascot can be compared to a huge sun, which he created all by himself with paper mache. His facial make up also resembles the face mask. This figure, along with his name prince55, first appeared in around 2018.

Aidan is an important part in Gigi Perez’s music, being a producer and co-writer on several tracks including “When She Smiles”, “Figurines”, “Karma” and “Chemistry”. They’ve been close friends since they were 15 years old.

Before that, Aidan and Gigi formed two of the three members of the Brooklyn indie band Wendy Lane.
