Long before Nerdcore Rap began and before The Big Bang Theory popularized nerd culture to the mainstream, there was Nerf Herder.

Nerf Herder are a geek rock/pop punk band originating in Santa Barbara, California. Their music frequently contains pop culture references, even down to the name of their band (a Star Wars reference). Of the original lineup, singer and songwriter Parry Gripp and drummer Steve Sherlock remain in the group.
