More or Les is a Canadian rapper known for his collaborations with the Backburner crew and association with the nerdcore hip-hop community. His highly literate, sincere style was apparent from the beginning, with “I Only Stop for the Red Ants” and “The Truth About Rap” (the answer? rapping is fun!). He has followed up these releases with work that puts him a bit more in the nerdcore camp, though not completely. His EP “Postmillenium Tension” explores the joys and limitations of modern, tech-obsessed life. He followed with a mixtape on his beloved “Doctor Who” titled “Bigger on the Inside.”
Les’s most recent release is “Blow the Fuck Up (But Stay Humble),” and it is his most ambitious work to date. He tackles sexism, lazy rap, and fake accents; he also provides reference-rich humor (“Pon Farr Dilithium” and “Man Up” with Schaeffer the Darklord). This latest LP sets him up to truly blow up while staying as humble as he can.
