Minas is the musical endeavour of Athens born and Cardiff bred James Minas. He blends classically trained melody and progressive electronic soundscapes with his anomalous yet emotional vocals, telling personal stories of mental health struggles and the love and loss many of us can relate to. Learning piano from the age of 6 and finding fascination with artists telling their own stories through uniquely created sounds he aimed to work tirelessly to find his own voice.

With no restriction to what genre he listened to daily, his obsession with notable artists who he found incomparable growing up such as Burial, Deftones, Portishead, & James Blake fuelled his passionate search and in 2018 he released his first EP “Kid” as a test to see what, on a local scale, would be made of him.
