Lostprophets were a Welsh rock band who formed in Pontypridd, Wales in 1997 by vocalist Ian Watkins, bassist (later guitarist) Mike Lewis, drummer Mike Chiplin and guitarist Lee Gaze. They were most famous for the hit songs Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast) and Last Train Home, and managed to sell 3.5 million albums worldwide out of 5 studio albums.
The band broke up in 2013 when Watkins was charged and jailed for multiple sexual offenses against children. The remnants of the band, sans Watkins, would eventually form a new band in 2014 with American singer Geoff Rickly named No Devotion.
