Portland indie-rock collective Les Gold was founded as a side project by four of its members, having met each other at Lincoln High School in Portland, OR. Years of trial and error between them led up to working with Portland producer Bob Stark (of Sonic Media Studios), and in Summer 2018 Les Gold would release their debut EP, More Silver.
The band consists of frontman Jenson Tuomi, singer Travis Ezell, lead guitarist Tim Kaye, bassist Nick Wright, drummer Walter Stern. In the last year, they’ve taken on a new drummer, Cory Aboud.
Les Gold cultivates a sound that’s self-described as “mixing homegrown Northwest indie-rock with elements of folk rock, dream pop, surf rock, 1950’s R&B, and other influences.”
Since the release of More Silver in 2018, Les Gold has dropped multiple singles with exploration in different subgenres of Rock- all with the help of producer Ryan Furlott (Rain City Records) & Rise Records. They’ve toured the west coast, bringing on hundreds of thousand of new listeners, and make plans to release their sophomore EP.
