Kevin Patrick Devine is a singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, NY. He is best known for his work as a solo artist, having released music under his own name since 2002.
He has been noted for his introspective and overtly political lyrics : his unapologetic approach of themes of addiction and loss mix along with his criticism of American imperialism.
Devine is thoroughly involved in the indie rock DIY scene, consistently championing young artists such as The Front Bottoms or Pinegrove on his tours.
Devine is also part of Bad Books, an indie rock band which he founded in collaboration with Andy Hull, with whom he shares songwriting, lead vocals and lead guitar duties.
Prior to his solo career, Devine was the frontman, lead vocalist and guitarist for New York band Miracle Of ‘86.
