KATO2X, real name Kevin Young, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. KATO grew up in the Glenview neighborhood of South Memphis and was childhood friends with rappers Key Glock and Big Scarr. KATO is a member of Rich and Ruthless, a Memphis collective often referenced by Scarr and others. In 2022, KATO signed with Gucci Mane’s The New 1017 label and has since appeared on “Spin” and “Met Gala (Remix)” alongside Gucci.
