Junshi is an artist based in the UK. Over the past few years, he has made music under many aliases, with different styles (plugg, cloud rap, emo rap, phonk, retro) on SoundCloud.

Junshi started releasing music on SoundCloud in 2016, taking inspiration from ICYTWAT, Lofty305 and MexikoDro. He has been experimenting with different sounds for many years, including his current, which has been described as “cloud rap with an upbeat tone.”

Junshi gained traction after his song “Twilight 1995” amassed 250,000 streams. After this, he began to evolve his sound into the visual-novel-influenced mix of phonk and cloud rap, with a relaxed and emotional sound. This sound has seen extended growth as Junshi, alongside other artists 7Nightz and Sayako keep pushing the style further, with it now having a close-knit fanbase.
