Releasing the majority of his releases on SoundCloud, he is known for his multifaceted, experimental output and his association with various musicians and collectives, most notably MAKE FAMILY NOT FRIENDS and the now-defunct Spider Gang.

JAMES has released multiple albums, compilations, EPs. In June 2022, he released a collaborative album with CXRPSE, JADED RAP NIGGA.
