ITZY (있지) is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, who officially debuted on February 12, 2019 with “Dalla Dalla.” ITZY is composed of five members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna
Their first mini album, IT'z ICY was released in late July of 2029, supported by the title track “ICY”, which garnered over twelve wins on Korean music shows—the most in their career. They also embarked on their first concert tour with stops in Asia and North America.
On March 9, 2020, ITZY released their second extended play—and the final installment of their IT'z trilogy—IT'z ME, which was promoted along with its title track, “WANNABE”, delivering the message of “one and only me.” The song became an instant classic and went viral, thanks to the eye-catching choreography, featuring the so-called “shoulder dance” done by member Ryujin.
The quintet’s third mini album, NOT SHY saw a major change in their main concept and marked a lyrical shift, with the title track of the same name discussing the emotions of being deeply in love and not caring about how things will end.
Their fourth mini-album, GUESS WHO was accompanied by the title track “마.피.아. In the morning” and was released on April 30, 2021 with the project having now a bigger, worldwide promotion strategy in a comparison to the first four projects. The same year, ITZY released their first, full-length studio album, CRAZY IN LOVE, consisting of ten brand new songs, including the fun and frenzy title track, “LOCO”. After its ultimate release on September 24, the album went on to break multiple records, including charting on the Billboard 200 chart.
