Ikurru is the artist name of Joey Bizinger, also known as TheAnimeMan on YouTube.

Joey is an Australian native, born to a Japanese mother and Australian-Hungarian father on September 28, 1994. He began uploading to YouTube on May 26, 2013, with content relating to Japanese culture and anime, thus his username.

Bizinger has stated that he has always had an interest in music and has created songs but never had the courage to release any of them until the release of his first album A Picture Frame Full of Memories in 2019. The album is full of instrumental piano tracks as well as vocal tracks. Joey has also stated that he doesn’t want to limit himself to just piano and may release a variety of different tracks in the future.
