Hachiku, also known as Anita Ostendorf, is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter, born in Detroit and raised in Germany. She is notable for her unique brand of “dream pop with an an avant garde
twist”. Her music incorporates elements of opera, bedroom pop, and indie music. Hachiku plays with a four-piece band that includes Jessie L. Warren, Jim Lawrie, and Georgia Smith.
She is signed to Milk! Records and is part of the Split Singles Club, a initiative created to introduce stellar indie artists to the world. In June 2017, her self-titled EP was released, supported by two singles, Moonface and Zombie Slayer.
She currently resides Melbourne, Australia.
