H' & Them is one artist following an undefined and experimental approach to music. With sounds ranging from Rap to a cool ‘Alternative-Urban/Indie’ feel he has managed to captivate and keep his listeners on their toes in awe of what may come next. Since the release of his debut mixtape ‘The Actual Songs’(2019), he has continued to experiment with new ‘unique’ sounds in his albums, Incolour(2020) and Songs for Silas(2020), filled with stories, and different styles of delivery. Even adding a vernacular element, by using his home language ‘Tshivenda’ , in a few songs that appear in his third album ‘Eternal Sunshine : Undone’(2021).
One of his latest EPs, ‘low-q shorts’, set to be released on the 25th of November, features phathu(FKA JAZZTHEMAN), JAYSTEEZE,Francis Blaz3 and Mass The Difference. It gives a very brief account of being 23 and going through grieving the loss of his younger brother, and is made up of well-written/poetic raps on grimey instrumentals.
To close off 2022, H' & Them finally released ‘An Ep’ on major streaming platforms, having already released it the previous year on Soundcloud only. The Ep is made up of cool-urban rap sounds done mostly in Tshivenda.
The year is 2023, and the sonics have taken another beautiful route once more with his latest offering, ‘Home In A Bit’, which features various artists and friends and offers nice, chill alternative-rnb/hip hop styled songs.
