Dariush Eghbali (Persian: داریوش اقبالی ‎‎) better known by his stage name Dariush is an Iranian singer. Dariush was born in Tehran, on February 4, 1951. He is best known for his warm and poignant bass voice heard in both ballads and socio-political songs.
He is very active in promoting education, awareness, and prevention with regards to social maladies such as human rights violations, substance abuse, AIDS, street children, and the plight of refugees among others.
