DAOKO (ダヲコ) is a female singer and rapper born in Tokyo, Japan. She started her career when one of her uploaded videos on Niconico (Japan’s version of YouTube) received attention at the age of 15 in 2012. Her name was originally her web name that has been used until today.
DAOKO has collaborated with many artists to rise to international fame, with songs such as “ME!ME!ME!” with TeddyLoid, an electronic music producer, and “打上花火 (Uchiage Hanabi),” which features Kenshi Yonezu, a former top Vocaloid producer.
