Brandon Demond Norton Jr. (born May 3, 2008), known professionally as cl4pers (pronounced as Clappers), is a rapper and audio engineer from Fort Worth, Texas.
During an interview with Bandlab, cl4pers discussed about how he had gotten his stage name, stating:
The name ‘cl4pers’ came from the Slimelife Shawty song called “Clappers.” And the ‘CL4’ means like a shooting star, and you know I don’t like to call myself a star and stuff.
cl4pers started rapping when he was in the third grade, as he started freestyling. He first came to fame really early in his career after his debut single “Want Me!” went viral on platforms including TikTok. The song would gain over a million plays on his SoundCloud page and still counting.
His main inspirations were linked up to rappers such as 2Pac, XXXTENTACION, and The Notorious B.I.G.
Not much is known about the rapper, although he has recently been associated with artists like tana and yvngxchris. He is currently an independent artist, who has been releasing music on his own through both his SoundCloud and his YouTube Page. cl4pers is ready to drop his debut studio album, The Wait, sometime in 2023.
