Connor “Meatball” Gregory (A.K.A. Cgsongs) is a 20 year old rapper and producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first toyed with music in 3rd grade when he played the viola for his school’s string section. He quit in 6th grade due to a lack of interest, but began listening to music a lot more. He got into rap around this time, and it quickly became his favorite genre, though he likes almost any genre.

In his senior year of high school, he decided to try and get into the mindset of making music. Though for most of the first year he just rapped, he first started producing with his release titled “Breakdown”. This album revealed the struggles he faced as he was transitioning from high school to college, and tackled heavier subjects than his debut album, “The Dark Ages” (TDA).

It wasn’t until his EP “Midnight Drive” that he started to self produce most of his discography. The highlight of this album was the song “Midnight Drive” which depicts Connor’s idea of what a midnight drive feels like. He then released “Good Vibe Isle”, his 3rd album. This was an album geared toward the summer time, and featured the single called “Ohana”. In this song, he tried the idea of having major guitar solos in between verses over a melody of muted and strummed guitar strings.

A month later, he released a mixtape entitled “Infamous”. This was inspired by his love for western movies, and by the song “Old Town Road”. Then in August he released an album called “Let’s Try This One More Time”. This was his biggest album to date standing at 14 songs. He had gotten his first feature for a song in the form of Zack S. who is a friend from Connor’s highschool. Then, in September, he released the sequel to his first EP, “Midnight Drive II”. On this, he had met another rapper named Monsey, and the made the song “Summer Love” with a cover of the guitar from Tame Impla’s “The Less I Know The Better”.

He has an upcoming album, a sequel to his debut album, called “The Dark Ages II” (TDA II) coming out in December with features from IamNix, T0ny, Monsey, Sidney James, and Lasagna Boys. He teased an upcoming project in February called Flip Flops in February, and is currently exploring production in other genres of music as well.
