Caroline Elizabeth Polachek (born June 20, 1985) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer from New York City. She initially rose to fame as the vocalist of alternative band Chairlift, which disbanded in early 2017.
She released her debut solo album, Arcadia, under the stage name Ramona Lisa in 2014, followed by 2017’s instrumental project Drawing The Target Around The Arrow, released as CEP. In 2019, Caroline released the first project under her own name, Pang, to critical acclaim, with collaborators including A. G. Cook, Danny L Harle, Daniel Nigro, and Jim-E Stack.
On the production and songwriting front, she broke through when writing and producing Beyoncé’s song “No Angel” in 2013. She has gone on to write tracks with and for Superfruit, HYD, and Blood Orange.
