Boris (ボリス, Borisu) is an experimental rock band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1992. The band’s core members are guitarist/bassist Takeshi, guitarist/keyboardist Wata, and drummer Atsuo, although they have collaborated with a number of musicians over the years, ranging from harsh noise artist Merzbow to American metal band Sunn O))).

The band’s style and sound has varied over the years, although a large portion of their discography falls under the genres of drone metal, doom metal, and post-rock.
