Boogey (real name: David Odey) is a Nigerian rapper with lyrical depth. He’s from Cross River state, has a degree in Biology from a Tertiary institution in Morocco and is proficient in French.
Boogey has had 3 Headies nominations:
Best rap single and Lyricist on the roll in 2016, and Lyricist on the roll in 2018.

Boogey released his first body of work, a mixtape titled Art-ificial Intelligence in 2012. He grew in the Nigerian underground hip-hop scene, even being one of two features on Modenine’s OTT mixtape, and one of the features on “Ridiculous” off M.I Abaga’s Illegal Music 2 mixtape in the same year, 2012. For his second mixtape, This Is Not An Acronym (T.I.N.A.A) released in 2015, he teamed up with enigmatic masked producer – Charlie X – and showed considerable growth in his skill as an asrtist. During the yuletide season of the same year, he released Irregularly Scheduled Programme (ISP), his 3rd mixtape.

Teaming up with rapper Paybac, the duo became “The Lost and Found”, releasing an album, Face Off, produced by Charlie X, the first of Boogey’s projects that would not be released for free. Later that same year, Boogey put out another free mixtape titled Incognito, his 5th studio project. Boogey through his first to fifth project had showed his ability to keep improving as his career progressed.
In between his project releases, Boogey stayed relevant by being featured, releasing singles, song covers, and mash-ups of popular songs.

Boogey released his debut solo album, and 6th studio project Nouveau Niveau in 2018 after singles such as “Liquor Nights” and “Solo”, showing again, how he keeps improving as an artist.
