Angus Maude writes honest and vulnerable stories. His sonics are warm and charming, drawn from styles of modern indie & bedroom pop. Through this lens, he creates a space where he’s comfortable putting his unfiltered conscience in the limelight. Angus is the founder of NYHLA Records, a Vancouver-based indie pop label built on community support and DIY values. Those values continue to drive his creative process; a majority of his art direction & compositions are born in his bedroom.

Angus has been spending countless hours over the last 2 years perfecting his forthcoming sophomore album Blue Book, the content of which is very close to his heart. Angus is currently campaigning singles from the Blue Book sessions, beginning with January’s “Lost” and followed up by June’s “Blockbuster”, both of which demonstrate the middle-ground he has found between the electronic sensibilities of more recent efforts like Ponding, and his initial folk influenced sound found on projects like Apricity that have found significant traction around the world.
