A native of New York City, Adam Schlesinger (1967-2020) was a founding member of Fountains of Wayne, Ivy, and Tinted Windows. He received two Grammy Award nominations for “Stacy’s Mom,” an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination for “That Thing You Do!”, two Tony nominations for the musical version of Cry-Baby, and an Emmy award for his work on the TV show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. He died of coronavirus complications.
