About ACIDMAN

ACIDMAN is a Japanese rock group with Nobuo Oki on vocal and guitar, Masatoshi Sato on bass, and Ichigo Urayama on drums. Once starting as a four-man group until their original vocalist quit, the group was a popular independent band from 1997 until their signing with EMI Music Japan in 2002 with the release of their album 創 (Soul), charting at #9 on the Original Confidece chart being Artist of the Year at the 17th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards. The group would release 11 studio albums and various acoustic, instrumental, and live albums under their 20 years performing together and 15 years with EMI.

The band would describe their songs as “exploring themes of life, capturing the world in epic poetry through their sounds weaving in moments of calm, contrasted by intense, high energy rock.”
